Chromebooks Get Google Chrome 15.0.874.117 in the Beta ChannelChromebook owners running the beta channel have received an update, but no, they're still not getting Google Chrome 16. Instead they have Google Chrome 15.0.874.117 running on Chrome OS 1011.118.
All Chromebooks have received the update, the Samsung, Acer and Cr-48 ones.
As you'd expect at this point, there aren't too many big updates. A number of bugs affecting stability and functionality have been squashed.
A bit more exciting, there is now a new trackpad driver for all users. Finally, some networking issues have been fixed.
However, be warned that there are some known issues, opening anything in the download folder leads to an error. At the same time, trying to open the download folder presents the user with another error.
One thing is for sure, Google Chrome 15 is headed to the stable channel for Chromebook owners as well and it shouldn't be long now. After that, expect Google Chrome 16 to land in the beta channel.
